When you exchange a propane tank, you are only guaranteed 15 pounds of propane per 20lb tank. That means you are shorted the amount of propane that the tank can actually hold. When we fill your tanks, we fill them to their intended capacity of 20lbs which gives you 25% more than most exchanges.

Yes, in Michigan we can refill any tank regardless of where it was originally purchased. We can fill tanks as small as 5lbs to as large as 100lbs. We also have the ability to fill RV’s.

Yes, tanks do have an expiration date. Tanks are good for 12yrs from their manufacture date. This date is stamped on the collar of the tank and dated with the month/year they were manufactured. In some cases tanks have been recertified and are good for 5 years from the recertification date. This date is typically stamped on the collar with a month/year followed by an “E”. Some will have stickers that are also dated with month/year followed by a “V”. If you are unsure if your tank is current, feel free to stop by and we would be happy to take a look.

If your tank is old and in need of disposal, we can dispose of your tank. We do charge a $5 Hazmat fee. You can also call and check with your city as they sometimes have free hazmat disposal days throughout the year.
